SITE ENVIRONMENT: 3440ha of bush land set in the Brindabella Ranges. The property is full of trails, mountains and valleys, much of it untouched Australian wilderness.
DISTANCE AND DIRECTION FROM CANBERRA: 1 1/2 hours from Canberra, 1 hour from Yass.
ACCOMMODATION: 62 beds in 6 bunk rooms set in rustic camp site. Separate shower and toilet blocks.
ADDITIONAL: Bush camp site housing 25 in permanent tin tents.
PROVIDED: Mattress, pillow.
CATERING: Fully catered or self catered at bush camp site.
FACILITIES ON SITE: The "Barn" is our dining area, also usable as a recreation/meeting area. A converted woolshed is another recreation and meeting area.
OUTDOORS: Volleyball court, basketball ring, Small lake for summer swimming and boating. Plenty of space for cookouts and campfires. Ideal for orienteering, navigation activities or similar.
FACILITIES OFF SITE: 20km away are the limestone caves of Wee Jasper and excellent trout fishing.
PROGRAMMING: Programmed camps involving horse trail rides, caving, abseiling, high ropes, flying fox, low ropes, undercover archery, climbing walls, orienteering, environmental programs, whipcracking, initiatives, bush cooking, and bush walks.
FIRST AID: Program leaders all hold first aid qualifications. A radio network supports all programs. Doctor is usually on site.
