We welcome all who subscribe to our Christian philosophies to enjoy the facility. This is a drug and alcohol free site and in compliance with work place OH&S, no smoking is allowed.
If staying in the bunkhouses guests should bring a sleeping bag and towel; laundry available.
Dining/lecture hall with commercial kitchen including food prep and storgae areas. Large recreation hall with stage, kitchen area, huge open fire place and amenities. In addition, the building at the top of the site has three seperate meeting rooms suitable for smaller groups of up to twenty. This building also has a commercial kitchen and dining room. In addition; there's a volleyball court, playing field, BBQ and star gazer on site.
We are located within easy walking distance to the Stanley State Forest with exceptional views and popular bush walking, bicycle, motorbike, 4WD & horse riding trails.
Local gold mine & farm tours by arrangement.
Also within walking distance is a working dairy - with over 220 black and white cows weighing up to 750kg each - it's worth a look and you can be sure the milk is fresh!
Historic gold rush towns of Beechworth, Chiltern and Yackandandah are nearby. Within minutes you can explore the gold mines of a bygone era. A one hour drive will see you in the snow fields for skiing, snow boarding and tobogganing at Mount Hotham. Along the way there are a number of places to stop like the Mountain Fresh Trout Farm; Rainbow Trout and Atlantic Salmon are easily caught with their tackle and cleaned for you. Bright is on the way and has Segways for hire and small waterslides at a very popular swimming spot. We are a forty minute drive to Lake Hume for other water sports; skiing, wake boarding etc.
The Red Stag tourist deer farm is close by with tours, restaurant, animal feeding and spectacular views. A little further on is a hedge maze in Wandiligong that will challenge all ages!
Yackandandah township is only a few minutes away and has a variety of facilities including; cofee shops, bakery, antique shops, a service station, park, doctors, chemist, news agent, post office, skate park, pool, museum, gold trail, sporting fields, fresh water creek, an IGA and more!
In the local area there is seasonal fruit: cherries, plums, apples, berrys, peaches and various nuts; some pick your own, all farm fresh!
Nestled amongst the rolling hills and lush farmland of north-east Victoria, Back Creek CYC is a haven for native flora and fauna and ideal for enjoying the quietness and serenity of the surrounding bush.

From Yackandandah head towards Myrtleford. As you climb the hill make a right turn into Back Creek Road (still in the 60 zone). Follow Back Creek Road for 4km (5 minutes) and turn right into Schmmidt Lane. We are 950 meters along on the left hand side - can't miss it!
