The Christian Venues Association
Members (and those associated with Christian Venues Association) are encouraged to nominate a person from within the membership, their employees and volunteers, who has provided unrecognised excellence in their field of ministry.
There will be three Awards presented at Connect 12, the Christian Venues Association National Conference in 2012. They will be awarded to individuals in the following categories:-
· Youth (under 25 at 1st August in the year of presentation)
· Volunteer
The top three nominees in each category will be provided with subsidised Conference Fees to encourage their presence at the Award Presentations.
Selection will be by a five-person Panel meeting in confidence.
The Panel will consist of an independent (external) Chair, two Members of the Association, a Board Member and the CEO.

When can nominations be made?
Nominations open 1st March and close 5th May of Christian Venues Association Conference Years.
Who can nominate and be nominated?
Any Christian Venues Association Member or their employees, Associate Members and volunteers can nominate or be nominated. Nominations will not be accepted for current serving members of the Board of the Association.
What needs to be done to submit a nomination?
Complete the nomination form and provide supporting documentation and referees.

What will assist my nomination?
Provide supporting information about the achievements of the person you are nominating – limiting the nomination to a maximum of 1,500 words and/or four minutes of multimedia.
What will happen after I submit a nomination?
Once your nomination is received by the panel, you will be sent a letter thanking you for participating in the program and explaining the Assessment process. If you do not receive this letter within 15 working days, contact the Christian Venues Association Office on 1800 009 890.

How will the selections be made?
The nomination is assessed on the selection criteria. In choosing the recipients of the Spirit of Sharing Awards, the nominee's achievements as well as ongoing contribution to their ministry will be considered.

All nominees will be considered for the Open Category
Nominees aged 18 to 25 years on August 1st of the year of the award will be considered for the Youth Category
Volunteers (receiving no payment from their Organisation) will be considered for the Volunteer Category.
Can people be nominated again?
A person cannot receive a second award in the same category, but can subsequently be considered for recognition in a separate category. Unsuccessful nominees may be re-nominated for following Awards.
How are the recipients selected?
The Selection Panel of five people, one Christian Venues Association Board Member, two Association members appointed by the Board, the CEO and an Independent Chair, will select the finalists and recipients.
When will the National Awards be presented?
The Awards will be presented at the Christian Venues Association National Conference every second year.
