Victorian Regional Committee

Chair: Greg Thomas It has been a privilege to serve as the current Victorian Chair I would be happy to serve a further term. I have been involved with Christian Camping since the 1980’s, initially working at Shiloh Ranch and then on their Board. Since 2002 I have been looking after the insurance needs of Christian Camping Ministries as a Corporate Member of CVA. I have a passion for Christian Camping and as the Chair for Victoria, I am eager to continue to develop relationships between members and to see more opportunities for members to come together in social and training environments where they can help each other grow in their unique ministries and as a community of camping professionals. |
Deputy Chair and Regional Representative: Paul Coleman Paul has been involved in camping with young people for the last 30 years. He started as a camp volunteer leader while he was doing Year 10 at school. After 10 years of volunteering, he decided that he needed to step it up a notch. After gaining qualifications in Outdoor Recreation, he began working full time at Breakaway as Program Co-ordinator and four years later, when the Director retired, he was promoted to Executive Director. Paul has a real passion and a heart for young people and believes that outdoor adventure programs are one of the best platforms to connect and encourage youth. He met his wife of 15 years in the Christian camping industry and their two young kids already love the outdoors and camping. |

Committee Member: Shanon Presow After being involved in Christian camping as a camper and an employee, I thought it only fitting to continue being part of the CVA VIC Committee. My hope is that I will have the opportunity to support and grow Christian Venues Association for the next generation. I have been blessed to work in an industry that I am passionate about and being an active part of this community within the VIC Committee provides another extension to come alongside co-workers, friends and family in the Christian camping community. I am actively involved in my local Church and feel blessed to be part of this family. |
Secretary: Darren Blood Camping has been in my life for as long as I can remember, I grew up on a campsite with my parents managing CYTA Lodge. At the end of Year 12, I had a 6 month gap working at Mill Valley Ranch before heading back to CYTA Lodge. I have been involved in CYC Ministries for 9 and half years, along with serving at Discovery Church as Kids Pastor / Generations Pastor for the past 3 years. I am currently the Ministry Manager at Baptist Camping Victoria. I have enjoyed serving on the CVA Victorian Committee and would like to continue this adventure to assist CVA members to connect with one another and grow professionally. It is a great joy to serve God through Christian camping together with my wife, Sam, and our two boys. |
