Greg Thomas
CHAIR

Currently Chair of the Victorian Regional Committee, Greg has been involved with Christian Camping since the 1980s, initially working at Shiloh Ranch and then on the Board there. 

Since 2002, Greg has been looking after the insurance needs of Christian Camping Ministries as a Corporate Member of CVA. 

He has a passion for Christian Camping and is eager to continue developing relationships between members, and to see more opportunities for members to come together in social and training environments where they can help each other grow in their unique ministries and as a community of camping professionals.

Natalie Macdonald
COMMITTEE MEMBER

Natalie is currently full time at Oasis Camp as Activities Co-ordinator after spending three years as an OHSC co-ordinator for Camp Australia. 

Previously, Natalie worked as a programmer with CYC ADANAC as well as an earlier stint at Oasis Camp. She also spent a year as a ministry intern with Doncaster C of C.  

Nat has an incredible passion for Christian Camping and is both capable and focused.

Fiona Simcoe
COMMITTEE MEMBER

For the majority of her career Fiona worked in Secondary Education, teaching VCE and in a pastoral capacity as Home room and House Leader.  

In 2018, along with her husband, Brad, she was called to manage Burnside camp Baptist Camping Victoria.

Fiona is currently on leadership at Anglesea Baptist Church and is the facilitator of Angleasea Kidshope. Post Covid, she was the School Wellbeing officer at Aireys Inlet PS.  

In the time she has been at Burnside camp, they have commenced Mothers and Daughters camp, Family camp, and ‘Swell’ Surf camp.  

She and Brad have three daughters all pursuing the Lord and serving in various ways. 

Darren Blood
COMMITTEE MEMBER

Over the years of Darren's life and time in Christian camping, there have been many highlights.

He grew up up at CYTA Lodge managed by his parents, worked at Mill Valley Ranch, met his wife Sam, and got married at camp. Darren was also part of the CYC ministries team, and served as the Ministry Manager for Baptist Camping Victoria.

Darren now has the privilege of being the Manager and leading the team at CYC Forest Edge. He has enjoyed serving on the CVA Victorian Committee over the years and is looking forward to continuing this adventure in assisting and serving our CVA members.
